Hello Lenz, I' ve read a while ago that you also use a Logitech Trackman Marble FX, and would like to use it to scroll in X. To me this would also be very helpful but do not have a solution. I have an idea that might work. And I can show you a trick that works for me. I mean I can scroll with my Marble * without * holding a button! The idea: Configure one button to do a click and hold action when clicked. Click again is release. I do not know if this can be done with the red button. I do know what works for me as a work around. It only works in one dimension though, but should work with any mouse. I have tested this with KFM and Netscape. They react a bit differently, KFM has a "snap to" reaction when you move the mouse back over the scroll bar. Here it goes: - Click and hold on (to) the slider on a scrollbar and do not move the mouse or ball (till I say so) (this is normal drag action). - Switch to console - Switch back to X. - If the mouse is still on the slider then release the button and move and scroll! It should be possible to make this into a *real* feature ;-) If this doesn't work for you then here is my situation.
