Hallo, Having put a bigger HD in my computer to allow Linux more space to spread out I thought it would be useful to have the older, smaller HD as Disk 2 and to partition it so that I could have a second instance of Linux on which to experiment and make mistakes, transferring the successful procedures on to the main Linux installation once I'm clearer in my mind about the best way to do things. However, I am having problems in booting the second Linux. I've succeeded in installing the second Linux (SuSE 6.3) in that I can log in at the end of the installation process and all seems OK. However, shutting down and attempting to reboot produces a screen full of 0s and 1s that never stops! :-( I've done this twice now with the same result both times. I'm choosing to write the LILO boot sector to floppy, but whether I try to boot from that floppy or use BootMagic (which works brilliantly with the first, main Linux installation), I get the result above. Can anyone help me here, or am I attempting the impossible? Thanks in advance for any help.
