Hey out there. I've got a suse 6.3 with samba running across the LAN. Maybe a few kilometers from my WIN95-workstation. My problem is that when i try to save some files to my samba-server, the speed goes down. I have no trouble reding from my server. It's not a question of access rights. I just checked it with ANYSPEED. Read speed : 79646.02 Kbps Write speed : 0.48 Kbps Sometimes is says Write speed : I/O error until i restart the test. Is it a common known problem with the relativly long distance? It's on the same LAN. No WAN or any thing. But it's on two different IPnets. erver ip xx.xx.38.1xx workstation ip xx.xx.22.1xx All out routers are configured for a class B ip-net. Med venlig hilsen / Yours sincerely Michael B.
