I finally got send mail to work. Hurray Hurray
But...
I would like to change the local user's log-on name in the 'Recieved' field and in the 'From' field to something other than the log-on name.
The man page is not really clear to me. Do I need to use the aliases file or is this just for the incoming mail?
aliases is just for incoming mail, what you want is the generics table. There is a basic setup included in SuSE's template.
I found the generics table -- but where can I find a description of how it works and how to activate it?
There's a HOWTO (on SuSE 6.1) which shows how to use the genericstable, file:/usr/doc/howto/en/html/mini/Sendmail-Address-Rewrite.html -- Ken Irving Trident Software jkirving@mosquitonet.com -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
