Hi all, I've been visiting some Monty Python sites ;-) and I've downloaded a couple of wav files with sound clips. However, when I try to play them, I'm told: chris@respc-csr2:~ > wavplay mnkchant.wav Only supports PCM wave format: Reading WAV header from mnkchant.wav I'm using OSS with a Yamaha DS-XG PCI sound card (supported by separate OSS module) and kernel 2.2.5. Other sounds play fine, and from the message that I get when I try to play it, I'm assuming that there is more than one type of wav file? What program can I use to play this?? I think I've tried all of the possibilities on my system. The start of the wav file has this (in case it's of any help): RIFFÞÝWAVEfmt #U`p+Ä ` I got this from a straight 'cat mnkchat.wav' So it looks like it's a riff file? What do I use to play it?
