Hi! I run SuSE 6.1 at home and recently decided to try installing gnucash. The README.SuSE file warns of numerous packages needing to be installed before gnucash will work. I have tracked most of these down. Version numbers seem especially important in some cases. I lack only guile-core-19980818.tar.gz (but have guile_1.3.tar.gz) and readline-2.1-5.i386.rpm. These files no longer can be found where the README.SuSE file says they can. Does anyone either: (a) know where these exact packages now live on the net, (b) know of suitable (i.e. working with your successful installation of gnucash) substitutes, (c) know from experience that the lastest version of gnucash doesn't need these libraries or needs others instead? or (d) use gnucash on 6.3 (I ask because a few packages that came with 6.1 don't work and I'm not going to upgrade to get something that doesn't work. Thanks for the help. Stevo --------- End Forwarded Message --------- --== Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ ==-- Share what you know.
