To define which application is the default one you have to: 1. Create an icon for the application you want to be the default and in the Application tab of its properties select which mime types it can handle. 2. Go to the mime type properties and in the Binding tab select this application from the list to make it the default. You get to the mime types by opening a KFM window and selecting Edit/Mime Types. I hope this helps. Avi Jon Pennington wrote:
Hi, everybody!
I'm having some trouble understanding the current (1.1.2) KDE MIME concept. I want to implement some changes, like removing kview as the default image viewer and replacing it with ee, and similar open-with-type statements. How does one go about effecting these sorts of changes globally?
