I think that's why you see those huge offset, delay, and jitter numbers. Try setting the time manually as close as possible to the exact time and then restart xntpd.
On my M$Win partition the clock collects time from SMTP servers OK, and I think the system clock is close to reality . The HUge Offset and Jitter numbers have me phaZed. ~ I have RTC in my Kernel, and am running on UTC with local time GMT +2 .. . . perhaps I should un-install XNTP and try re-installing it ? best ____________ sent on Linux ____________ ______________________________________________________________________________ Si votre email etait sur iFrance vous pourriez ecouter ce message au tel ! http://www.ifrance.com : ne laissez plus vos emails loins de vous ... gratuit sur iFrance : emails (20 MO, POP, FAX), Agenda, Site perso -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
