Hello Felix,

you talk about forums.opensuse.org, right?

I didn't get what your problem is, coud you explain it once again? We work on
the redesign of our forums and I love to get input which helps us to improve
the forums or other opensuse.org websites.

Thank you!

Robert

Whose idea was it to require captcha input in order to search for existing
solutions? That kind of nonsense, coupled with https-only Bugzilla access
for all purposes, and mousetype CSS text forum page styling (very very
rude - see http://www.useit.com/alertbox/designmistakes.html ), is almost
enough to cause a switch to *buntu. :-(

If the http://forums.opensuse.org is the problem this ML can't help you.
Forums are to some extent isolated as they manage their layout and
functions,
including capcha. So head over, login using Novell account and comment in
appropriate forum.

That's the proverbial chicken & egg problem. Because it's unusable, it cannot
be used to complain that it's unusable.

And it is obvious that we have no many that read http://www.useit.com/ :)

Same as virtually all web forums. :-( There are only two I ever contribute
to. Both have no counterparts in any other form. One isn't too bad, as it's
maintainers don't default so bad that it's impossible to get into preferences
to get things right-sized.

It is not on topic for this thread, but this one is also good:

There's one no one at M$ or mazdausa.com has ever taken to heart. :-p
