Hi Stephan, I have been trough those testing points mentioned when I saw it on as news item over at openSUSE.org. I have tested two or three in the list but I felt held back to test more and add comments feeling most points seem to require deeper knowledge (I not sure I have) or very specific scenarios. Although eager to help out I wouldn't really know if it's helping or slowing you guys down ;) My point being that maybe others potential testers share this feeling leaving you with low response... Hi,
Beta3 is tested pretty well, the number of bug reports we see coming in gives a pretty good feeling of it's usage in real life scenarios - some even read the most annoying bugs first :)
What's missing is coordinated testing atm - so far only 12 of 207 features are registered as tested, this is a pretty bad ratio.
Right now I see 84 critical+blocker for 11.0 - many of them are hardware specifics.
I released factory snapshots of USB and CD images - the USB shows just too many USB specific problems to be worthy, so I kind of decided to kill this idea again ;(
This week we'll do an internal beta3plus and have another public holiday in Germany, so I think I'll upload new factory snapshots tomorrow and leave you alone for the long weekend :)
Greetings, Stephan
