Re: [opensuse-translation] openSUSE Weblate

From my understanding weblate is based off on git. So downloading all the
files from commandline would be something like git clone/git pull, which
should be scriptable.

Weblate could do simpler mass downloading than git clone.

As weblate holds an up-to-date copy of all translated projects, it can provide only requested po file instead of the full repository.

Great! (Though I guess one *usually* would want all files, or at least all files for a given language.)

BTW, how are branches handled in Weblate? A given application may exist in various branches, at least a stable release (SLES 12) and a trunk release, but possibly other releases too (I see openSUSE 13.2 still receives updates, any maybe string updates too). The different versions have different sets of strings that need to be translated.

I guess there is some sort of functionality for handling this is Weblate? (Having some sort of ‘subdirectory’-like structure would be fine, e.g. opensuse13.2/yast/snapper, trunk/yast/snapper, SLES12/yast/snapper.)

BTW, this nothing new for translators. In KDE we currently manage translations for four different branches (KDE 4 stable, KDE 4 trunk, KDE 5 stable, KDE 5 trunk).
