Euh... Didn't understand very well. What is this issue about? Are all the program names going to be untranslated if it's in KDE?
I got it?
Cheers,
Djan
No, openSUSE's update-desktop-files-kde will follow KDE upstream names. The case was when a KDE app name was translated to somethink different that the original name in past, and now it follow the original name, openSUSE think it was untranslated and used old version. A real example: In the past, the pt_BR team of KDE translated the kdeedu and kdegames apps names and others randomly: KPatience = KPaciência KLettres = Letras After some discussion around KDE 4.2 we (KDE pt_BR) conclude that app names shouldn't be translated, so we revert the names to its originals. As KDE's .desktop files don't put the variable "Name=" if the name is the same as the original, openSUSE scripts thought that it was untranslated and remains with the old name (in this example, "KPaciência" and "Letras"). Thats why I filled a bug And coolo managed to fix this upstream.
