1. The latest snapshot updated libvulkan_intel-18.1.7 to libvulkan_intel-18.3.1. Can this be the culprit?
Educated guess: likely candidate. Those match the to and (long awaited) from Mesa versions announced in the 20181214 update. It may be interplay between mesa/vulkan and plasma and/or compositing. I took a Kaby Lake TW 20181112, locked Mesa, installed xf86-video-intel, dup'd, and IceWM worked fine. Then I unlocked Mesa, dup'd again, and IceWM still OK. But, my Kaby Lake is HD 630 on 1920x1200, not UHD 620 (on 3840 x 2160?). -- Evolution as taught in public schools is religion, not science. Team OS/2 ** Reg. Linux User #211409 ** a11y rocks!
