Post boot I sometimes use this to enlarge the console font:

setfont /usr/share/kbd/consolefonts/iso01-12×22.psfu.gz

- on kind suggestion of Greg , have been using

iso01-12×22.psfu.gz

- any ideas please : where to download a Larger Font ?

on KDE you can Cntrl+mouse wheel to increase or decrease font
size.....I do an xrandr --dpi 144 after boot is done

your font size may need to have a different value

thanks
