Do you have desktop effects enabled in systemsettings?
As I installed the openSUSE 11.3 KDE default they are enabled. e.g. pushing the mouse cursor into the top left screen corner showing all windows minimized etc.
Disable them. Or add the X11:XOrg repository and do a "zypper dup" from that repository. And then still disable them.
I have not been able to get anything intel, neither old nor new, to work reliably on 11.3 original drivers with 3D effects enabled. Without 3D effects, it is better but still not stable. With X11:XOrg drivers it is stable on new intel hardware, but 3D is still hanging the KDE desktop sometimes. -- Stefan Seyfried
Hello Stefan, I will try that as I get access to the PC again today (it's serving as a MP3 player and more in my favority pub...) Best regards, David. -- Eat, sleep and go running, ;-) David Hücking.
