SUSE Security Announcement

Package: bind
Announcement ID: SUSE-SA:2009:005
Date: Thu, 22 Jan 2009 12:00:00 +0000
Affected Products: openSUSE 10.3
openSUSE 11.0
openSUSE 11.1

x86 Platform:

openSUSE 11.1:

x86-64 Platform:

openSUSE 11.1:
There seems to be a problem with the 11.1 update. Is the above correct,
the only x86_64 package that is vulnerable is the 32bit package
mentioned above? 9.5.0P2-18.1-x86_64 is installed, and the package
version of the update is 9.5.0P2-17.4.1-x86_64. Should this package be
downgraded to the version in the update repo? Shouldn't the release
version have incremented?

The advisory creation tool did not create the 11.1 updates correctly. 11.1 has
the same
issues on x86_64 and ppc too.

Next updates will be correct listing them.

The page:
has all the versions and packages too.

Ciao, Marcus
