do you start SuSEfirewall2 in your ip-up script? SuSEfw2 adjusts to your external IP address, and you get a new ip-address every time you connect to the internet... Robert
i still got problems with my fw2. i downloaded and installed the aaa_base-update from suse. i changed a setting in firewall2.rc.config: FW_SERVICES_EXT_UDP="" -> FW_SERVICES_EXT_UDP="53" i also don't get the message "SuSE-FW-UNALLOWED-TARGETIN=ippp0 OUT= MAC= SRC=194.25.2.129 DST=62.155.224.65 LEN=252 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=60 ID=52867 PROTO=UDP SPT=53 DPT=1032 LEN=232" anymore, instead i'm getting this message: "SuSE-FW-DROP-DEFAULTIN=ippp0 OUT= MAC= SRC=194.25.2.129 DST=62.155.224.73 LEN=239 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=250 ID=21423 DF PROTO=UDP SPT=53 DPT=1032 LEN=219"
