Dear All
I thought I'd have a go at starting Nessus on my workstation so that I could examine my own network. After starting it I find that there are no plugins.
Before any plugins show you have to login with a created user: nessusd -P <username>,<password>
So, after reading the June issue of Linux Journal and the article by Nick Bauer I tried to do 'nessus-update-plugins' from the command line. It said .... command not found.
How do I update the SuSE version of Nessus ?
I'm not sure probably just update the RPM, I always build Nessus from source. http://www.nessus.org
Thanks

Good luck and have fun playing with Nessus. Do be *very* weary of the "dangerous" plugins, as they can down servers through DoS attacks (4000+ http connects on one of them I know for a fact.... ) Jason Stover Parkland Community College 2400 W. Bradley Ave Champaign, IL 61821-1899
