Usually it's a better idea to use a r/w mounted ramdisk I think.
One problem is, that i.e. /etc/mtab needs to be written, usually.
IIRC you cannot use a simple symlink here. It would be nice if
you could mail me about your results, and some experiences if you
set up this in production!
