Hello,

My name is Paul Chobert, I'm student in an Engineering school in
Strasbourg, France. I am passionate in new technologies and especially
in web technologies.
If you wonder why I'm posting on this mailing list, it's because I
read on GSoC idea list that you are looking for students with good web
programming skills and creativity.

I'm very interested in OBS Android idea because it uses technologies I
love (Ruby on Rails, jQuery Mobile, HTML5), and OBS is a great tool.
I'm also interested in the End user oriented web interface of OBS to
make it more social, and improve contacts between developers and
users.

Hi Paul, nice to hear you are interested in our GSOC projects.
I created a wiki page for the obs mobile project here:
http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:GSOC2011_OBS_Mobile
so all interested students can get some more information about it.

Afaik the student application phase starts next monday, it would be good
if interested students could already get familiar with the project and our
community, and create a good application with details about your
background (coding experience, oss project involvement, github repo etc.),
so we can propose good student nominations to google.

If you have questions about the project, or would like to discuss some ideas
you have, please join opensuse-buildservice@xxxxxxxxxxxx,
or #opensuse-buildservice on freeenode.

A good source of information for gsoc students can be found here:

Greetings
