Henne was elected in the same year as Pascal (2008) [http://en.opensuse.org/Archive:Board_2008], and in the list of board members after the 2009 elections he is shown, together with Pascal, as a board member:
http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Board
Does this mean that in both 2008 and 2009 he was elected as a one-year board member? Even if this was the case, doesn't this mean that he has done the hard-slog of 2 years on the board?
Board members are elected for two years. See http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Board_election#Term:
You should probably take time to read the whole rules.

I did.
Which is why I am asking the questions.
If Henne was elected in 2008 together with Pascal then his time was up.
But the rules also talk about people being elected for a 2-year term are to be elected before those who are candidates for 1-year term.
So in which category did Pascal and Henne belong back in the 2008 election - 2-year or 1-year term? (And Henne is shown as a board member after the 2009 election.)
So why isn't this clearly spelt out when the elections are announced: so-and-so is to be elected for a 2-year term and so-and-so for a 1-year term?
This is all I am asking as I am confused - nothing more and nothing less.
As I stated, perhaps there should be more clarity about what is announced after each election as to who are now the board members and for what period. Also as stated, this is just a suggestion.
