That was a proposal for the version number, nothing cast in stone ;)

Maybe because our opeSUSE releases and support life-cycle ends every 3
releases. I mean after 24 months openSUSE ends the older version support
to keep alive the newer and the other two oldest (e.g: 11.3, 11.2 and
11.1 will end support for 11.0. It was the same for 11.2, 11.1 and 11.0
finished support for 10.3)

I don't see how that fits together. And we're at 18 months now...
