Oh, it certainly doesn't recognize gender diversity, fwiw. Only 2-3% percent of female users (data from annual openSUSE surveys) and hardly any female contributors is not quite diversified community, now is it.
Why is that? Seems the *first* step to changing that condition is to identify the root causes of it. It doesn't appear to be the *social* atmosphere, but w/o a significant presence, I don't know how one would recognize it.
