That's the problem. I don't really mind if the feature tracking is done in FATE, bugzilla or another tool. That's just a technical question. The thing I'm interested in is that it should be open to the community *and* easy to use. Continuing the package wishlist in the wiki does not fulfill the second criteria ;-) For the package wishlist, I'd like to have the "package wishlist" product in bugzilla back if you don't have a better solution (like FATE) ready in the next weeks.

Yes, however I think it would be worth the time and effort. IIRC there's already a "partner.FATE" web interface which supports permissions etc. So as a first step you could define a partner (aka permission flag) "openSUSE community" and create FATE accounts on request. This shouldn't be too much work and would show how much interest exists. Using the Novell account for login would be nice, but isn't a real requirement for the first step.
