[opensuse-programming] Doxygen - warning: return type of member Object::var is not documented

Hello all, I am receiving the following error from doxygen after having received an update recently: warning: return type of member Object::var is not documented In this case, 'var' is a member variable of type int (not a function). This is from a long standing (documented) C/C++ code base. Doxygen never used to complain. Is this a known issue? Or do I need to update my settings in Doxyfile? I have already run (-u) to update my existing Doxyfile. I am using doxygen 1.7.1 on openSUSE 11.1. [opensuse-programming] Per-process memory limit (bash's ulimit -m)

Hi, Can anyone affirm that this feature really work on Linux? I want to restrict the amount of RAM consumed of each process, and any excess to be swapped. With Bash, 'ulimit -m' is supposed to limit the max. memory used by each process. However, my test program can still exceed the limit. This program just allocates and repeateadly touch a 4-MB array. But regardless the limit, the process still consume 4+ MB of RSS. I suspect this is not supported in Linux, since the manpage of setrlimit() doesn't say any RLIMIT_* related to (resident) memory. [opensuse-programming] non-privileged daemon executing root-only commands?

I have a monitoring daemon that I would really prefer to run as non-root, but occasionally it will have to execute 'ipvsadm', which is root-only. Deutsch Version weiter unten] Anyone using Autoconf should check the package autoconf-archive I've just checked into devel:tools:building (I'll try to add it to the distribution when factory is open for new submissions again). It is an archive of more then 450 macros for GNU autoconf for various tasks. It is licensed under the GPL with a special clause that allows you to use the macros in any kind of software WITHOUT placing the whole package under the GPL. ======================================================================== Jeder der Autoconf verwendet sollte sich das Paket autoconf-archive anschauen, welches ich gerade in devel:tools:building eingecheckt habe (ich werde versuchen, es nach factory abzugeben, sobald factory wieder Neuaufnahmen zulässt). [opensuse-programming] gcc/g++ difference in handling a GNU extension

I have a question about a difference between gcc and g++ in the following: typedef struct { const char *CMD_SERVICE, *CMD_TRANSPORT; } dPavueCnfg; dPavueCnfg dConfig = { .CMD_SERVICE = "DPcmd", .CMD_TRANSPORT = "tcp" }; This works with gcc (on Linux and MinGW). But it does not work in g++. So, is this a GNU C-only extension? Given that it is a GNU extension, it could have been done for both gcc and g++. I am not even sure what this feature is called to be able to search for it!
