Hi,
Make sure you have installed the latest perl from SuSE 7.3
I just updated SuSE7.1PPC => SuSE7.3PPC and there is only one perl version on the SuSE7.3 CD's (perl-5.6.1-36) and there is no update or bugfix of Perl in SuSE web-site
Both errors are related to perl:
Well, I suppose so. How to solve it. Did anyone have the same problem? I reinstalled perl without success. There was a flaw in the update I suppose.
usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0/ppclinux/auto/IO/IO.so/ ecannotuopencshared
can't locate Storable.pm in @INC (@INC contains :
/usr/X11R6/lib/sax/modules /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/ppc-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/ppc/linux ....) at /usr/X11r6/lib/sax/init.pl line17
For example /usr/X11r6/lib/sax/init.pl exists but there is nothing on line 17. All the perl scripts exists in /usr/X11r6/lib/sax/ and what is @INC?
Also notice those are two diffeernt perl versions involved (5.6.0 vs 5.6.1).
Well! I did not interfere in the update. There seem to be a bug in the update => SuSE 7.3
Hope this helps,
Kevin

Hello,
I already installed SuSE-PPC 7.1 without problems on this iBook (small box, bought beginning of 2001, I don't know how it is called)
Today I updated => SuSEPPC 7.3. I was almost sure to have no problem but ....
Update went without problem except ghostscript-library
Impossible to start KDE (with startx).
At general boot, I have the following error message:
creating X11 framebuffer configuration ... /usr/X11R6/bin/xsfb : error while loading shared librairies : /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0/ppclinux/auto/IO/IO.so/ ecannotuopencshared objectefile:tNonsuchbfileeuorsdirectory d
I checked: there is no /etc/XF86Config file (it is empty)
Sax2 won't work: you have a lot of error chat:
can't locate Storable.pm in @INC (@INC contains : /usr/X11R6/lib/sax/modules /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/ppc-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/ppc/linux ....) at /usr/X11r6/lib/sax/init.pl line17
Thus: no X server and I don't know how to solve the problem: the lib files seem not to have been installed properly, there is no /etc/XF86Config file
Update seems to be uncomplete.
Any idea about what is wrong?
BTW I updated with Yast1
