It freezes here on an iMac and a B&W. The plain 2.4.18-pre3 tree from kernel.org might work. At least the linuxppc_2_4_devel tree does not freeze.
Bug fixed, new rpms can be found here: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/ppc/kernel/2.4.16/k_deflt.rpm 2.4.12 worked fine on the pismo PowerBook, it doesnt have the offending patch. Gruss Olaf -- $ man clone BUGS Main feature not yet implemented...
