I have the new Titanium Powerbook G4 with three equally sized HFS+ partitions (20/3 GB), one for Mac OS 9.1, one for Mac OS X, and I would like to install Linux on another partition. Apples on-disk program does not allow changing partition. I refuse to use a commercial partitioning software (they keep insisting that you use their software in all future) and the MacOS9.1 CD cannot be used as a startup disk on the TiBook (works perfectly as startup disk on my old 6400).
LinuxPPC2000 Q4 does work as startup disk, but hangs after 5 lines with booting ....
What shall I try next to get any sort of Linux installed?
Take SuSE Linux 7.1 PPC, should work as far as I can see ... At least some customers reported this. Maybe troubles with sound (and maybe ethernet) ...
