I think there was a proposal to use a username prefix for new daemons which might conflict with "human" usernames. Maybe we should whitelist the while prefix if this proposal was accepted. I am not sure what the status is.
There was no conclusion. But then we don't have a formal process to accept or decline such proposals either I guess. IIRC there was no real argument against the proposal so maybe all I need to do is to add a wiki page to the package guidelines to make the policy come into force?

I'm not at all against this. I just wanted to point to a solution which doesn't convolute the whitelist. - -- Ralf Lang Linux Consultant / Developer Tel.: +49-170-6381563 Mail: lang@b1-systems.de B1 Systems GmbH Osterfeldstraße 7 / 85088 Vohburg / http://www.b1-systems.de GF: Ralph Dehner / Unternehmenssitz: Vohburg / AG: Ingolstadt,HRB 3537 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.18 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAk+PG0EACgkQCs1dsHJ/X7B48QCghta+HH2yfv8HM02/ORZ0xg7q EjwAn3N4xGB/L30eBaqxTHWPuy3uoaRu =JKss -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
