Hi, I'm working on KDE:KDE4:Community plasmoid-yawp in home:plater and I've created a sub package containing binaries to be used in debugging the plasmoid. I thought it would be nice if it pulled in the correct debugsource and debuginfo packages so I added "Requires: %{name}-debugsource-%{version}-%{release}" and of course the same for the debuginfo package but this causes an unresolvable, apart from ignore, dependency problem on installation.
I don't really know why this happens, but have you checked the obvious things like are the debug packages actually getting built and published?
The general question is 'Is it possible for a package to depend on its own debug* packages'?

It doesn't seem possible even if the package is installed after the correct debug packages are installed. I eventually gave up but IMHO it should be allowed. The package would only be needed in the case of a bug anyway.
