Hi, with new rpmlint, I started getting some new warnings, some of them are quite weird IMO: -------- 1) prereq is deprecated: PreReq: info This comes from PreReq: %install_info_prereq , which is suggested by packaging conventions. [1] Does the warning mean that the PreReq: could be safely replaced with Requires: ? [2] If so, the packaging conventions should be updated to reflect this. -------- 2) W: source-or-patch-not-compressed bz2 parted-mac.patch I really doubt it makes any sense to compress most of the patches. I think this warning should be disabled (or at least applied only if the patch is bigger than some treshold). -------- 3) W: manpage-not-compressed bz2 /usr/share/man/man8/parted.8.gz W: infopage-not-compressed bz2 /usr/share/info/parted.info.gz These two are really funny especially given it is some RPM/build magic that (AFAIK) does the compression - apparently using gzip.
