 No, AFAIK the '-g' is normally only added when compiling with debuginfo
 turned on.

Indeed if debuginfo is disabled optflags/RPM_OPTFLAGS will not have
"-g"... but, at the same time, qmake will generate a Makefile with
CFLAGS that include the "-g".
