Hi,
I have created packages for SuperTuxKart 0.2rc2 and then for SuperTuxKart 0.2 (obsoleteing 0.2rc2) (only home: repo up to now)
RUG and other tools don't recognize 0.2 being newer as 0.2rc2
And they are right, because this numbering scheme is broken. 0.2rc2 is indeed newer than 0.2 because the numerical part is the same and then the "longer" version number "wins".
What suggestion can you give me for future Numbering schemes of RC-Releases?
For the future: 0.1.99 -> 0.2 Workaround for the already released package: 0.2rc2 -> 0.2.0 (just add ".0" to the real version number, this makes it newer again) Andreas Hanke -- GMX DSL-Flatrate 0,- Euro* - Überall, wo DSL verfügbar ist!
