Ich versuche zur Zeit ne Suse (8.0 oder 8.2) auf dem Toshiba Tecra 750 DVD - Schlepptop installieren, das große Problem das ich habe ist dass bei dem Laptop kein CD-Rom-LW vorhanden ist! anstelle des CD-Rom-LW hab ich nur n Disketten-LW!
Eigentlich kein Problem:
1.Versuch: über die PCMCIA-NW-Karte, also mit dem Disketten gebootet (für die 8.2er noch die überarbeiteten Moduldisks gesaugt) und bei PCMCIA-Controller-Erkennung endete das ganze dann mit ner Panischen Susi! (Kernel Panic) auch versucht mit ide=nodma acpi=off
Versuch bitte einmal die Kernel-Parameter: apic acpi=pci
O.K, die hatte ich noch nicht versucht, werd ich heute am Abend noch testen!
wenn auch dies nicht hilft versuch bitte zusätzlich noch: nomce (http://sdb.suse.de/de/sdb/html/fluttma_exception.html)
Gugg ich mir dann auch gleich an!
Bei meinem Laptop (Presario 905) hat der apic / acpi Eintrag schon geholfen ...
meine kompletten Kernelparameter auf dem Laptop:
ide=nodma apm=off acpi=pci nosmp apic
2.Versuch: Den ganzen Laptop in die Dockinstation (Desk Station V-Plus) rein, dort ne ganz normale PCI-NW-Karte eingebaut, und bei das Modulladen von PCMCIA abgebrochen! Nur kann er die Recourcen nicht vernünftig verteilen um diese PCI-Plätze anzusprechen! auch versucht mit ide=nodma acpi=off

Es sollte für das Booten des Systems - bis auf die zusätzliche Hardware - eigentlich keinen Unterschied machen, ob du das Laptop in der Dockingstation hast oder nicht ... das IRQ-Sharing / Acpi macht Probleme.
Ich hatte mit der 8.0/8.1 noch Ärger mit dem Sound und den PCMCIA-Treibern, der mit dem 2.4.20 Kernel behoben war, weshalb ich dir dringend zur 8.2 rate ...
Ich hab vor die 8.2er draufzutun, die 8.0er wäre nur so n Aha-Test gewesen, wenns geht!
8.0er und 8.2er verhalten sich beide gleich!
Nun zu meinen Fragen:

.) wie krieg ich denn die Ausgabe von dmesg und sonstige Informationen auf Diskette? Um sie euch zur Verfügung stellen zu können, vielleicht kann damit jemand was anfangen. Ne Konsole oder sowas ähnliches ist ja bei dem frühen Zustand noch nicht wirklich vorhanden.

Doch, doch, habs gestern noch rausgekriegt! auf <Strg>+<Alt>+F(x) (x steht für ne Konsole die ich nimma weiß, bin um 2 Uhr in der Früh draufgekommen) gibts ne Minnikonsole! -----------------mein Vorgehen-------------------------------------------- mkdir /fd0 mount /dev/fd0 /fd0 cp /var/log/boot.msg /fd0 cp /diverse Weitere Daten /fd0 umount /fd0 -----------------mein Vorgehen--------------------------------------------
