Currently I am having a problem with mingw32-libjpeg-devel. The included jconfig.h contains some defines that are not present in the regular linux version of the package and that break compilation of other software, namely the PACKAGE* defines. I wonder if these could be omitted as done in non-mingw builds. Or do they serve any purpose I am not aware of?
The "normal" libjpeg is libjpeg-turbo, while mingw includes libjpeg. Somebody worked on libjpeq-turbo for mingw some time ago: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:mkbosmans:mingw32/mingw32-libjp...
Another thing I would like to know is where I could propose the addition of a few more packages, liblensfun and libexiv2 to be precise (together with the -devel).
Create the package package in a subproject in your home project and then submit to the mingw32/mingw64 project. The maintainers of the mingw32/64 project then can decide, if they want to include it.
