Morgan,
Yes, I did read page 27-32. I got this documentation (ucs.ps) from the net (it's available as languages.ps.gz every where), I had it before you told me to refer it.
Here in my institute I am still using Suse 8.0. I didn't want to upgrade at this crucial time of my last months of my research works, because I learned from those who upgraded already have big problem with the new compiler. Our microelectronics device simulator is not compatible with 9.0's C/C++ compiler.
I see. I didn't know that you are still using SuSE 8.0. It is always useful to include the version number when asking questions. SuSE 8.0 didn't yet have latex-ucs. But latex-ucs is an architecture independent package which doesn't have to be recompiled for different platforms. I think it is almost certain that the latex-ucs package from newer SuSE distributions works on SuSE 8.0 as well. Please try the one from the SuSE 8.2 FTP version, you can download it from here: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/8.2/suse/noarch/latex-ucs-20021217-11.noarch.rpm SuSE 9.0 contains a slightly newer version of latex-ucs, but the SuSE 9.0 FTP version is not yet published. It will be published during the coming weekend though, i.e. from next Monday on you will be able to get the latest version of latex-ucs from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/9.0/suse/noarch/
We have all the Suse versions in our server and this particular package is not inside 8.0 at all. I found "latex-ucs-20020510-39.noarch.rpm" package inside 8.1 or I can also get one from 8.2 or 9.0. Do these packages work with 8.0?
Yes. If you can get the one from 9.0, try to install it on your 8.0 system, it will most likely work.
Will three be any conflict with the "ifntethi-1.2-324.noarch.rpm" i installed last time?
No.
Or otherwise is there any where on the net may be distributed later for 8.0?
Not necessary because the newer versions should work.
I have already installed all mule-ucs* staff yesterday which are available in 8.0.
