Now the question (from my deepest ignorance): What are the differences of kernels in the different opensuse repositories?
My guess is that repo and update contains the two very stable versions, but the other three are a mystery to me!
distribution/11.3 is 11.3 GA (does not change). update/11.3 are official security and bugfix updates for 11.3. repositories/Kernel:/openSUSE-11.3 are daily builds from the openSUSE-11.3 git branch, i.e. a preview of what will be released as an official update eventually (changes frequently). Kernel:HEAD are daily builds from the master git branch, which is tracking the mainline kernel and from which the next openSUSE kernel will be branched eventually (changes frequently). Kernel:stable are daily builds from the stable git branch. This one is tracking the latest "stable" kernel (in contrast to master, that also tracks -rc releases).
