BTW, both drives are Seagate Barracuda 1TB SATA 3 and are 2 years old.
Nothing seems really in bad state.
Most of the time you could have 197 Current_Pending_Sector or 198 Offline_Uncorrectable
Not being at 0 ... which means after a smartctl -t long you will have to poweroff the harddrive to be able "normally" to remap this failing sector.
But take care with Barracuda 1T ( not enough information ) check if newer firmware are available and if yes load them. I've seen some series of Barracuda, just dying from one day to another and once died. No firmware update is possible.
you can check the firmware level and exact model in the beginning of smartctl -a output
Thank you for your response. I just read the responses in HELP where I posted this msg (once I realised that I had posted here, in the wrong list). I am evaluating those responses I got in HELP. But before I decide what I should do I will run a check on the ext4 file system I am using.// I accidentally found some time ago - but forgot all about this until now :-( - that corruption to the file system can occur.
