The 331.20 breaks pieces here and there and doesn't work OK. Just now I've uninstalled it, and NVIDIA have released the 319.82 version for x64 which fixes the akonadi problem and also introduces X 1.15 support.
I can confirm that akonadi is working again with 319.82 on OpenSUSE 13.1 x64 and with kernel 3.13-rc7.
