I see. Historically KR4XX was supposed to have fixed linkrevs, reducing the risk of breakages, cuz stuff would have been "tested" in KDF first, and the inconvenience of constant rebuilds ("updates"), compared to KDF. But if I understand correctly, then now the only difference between KR4xx and KDF is that KDF can have betas of KDE SC.
Euh ??? I am not sure if you know how the KRXY repos are being done. Yes, they all have started out as linkrevs from KDF, but as soon as KDF started with a different KDE version, then those links were detached from KDF and the packages in KRXY are becoming a real package. This is still the logic we are following. At this moment I am not understanding why you are bringing this up. I never proposed any changes to the KDE:Release:XY repositories and I don't see any reason why we should either. However as indicated for openSUSE 12.3 we used the KDE:Release:410 repository as maintenance repository for the KDE packages. This was the cleanest way to push the maintenance updates. This is also what I indicated before, unless you want to drop the maintenance updates all together.
Anyway, my interest in KDF is solely, that I want to know the most meaningful KDE packages to test with regards to the official openSUSE releases (other than running a full-time factory system all year 'round, of course).
I still don't know what you want to test here ? You want to test if 4.11.3 is working with openSUSE 13.1 ?? The same for 4.11.5 ??? All those releases will be put in KDE:Release:411 also. I thought first that the change would be a positive one as that people would get a better understanding of what is in which repository, but it seems that everybody is just looking at what repositories they have in use and there should be any change to that. So based on that, I would say to forget about any changes to the KDE Repositories and to leave everything exactly as it is now.
