Based on the discussion that suddenly arose on this mailinglist, I would like to indicate the following: 1) Yes, the KDE Release team has decided to introduce another Release Candidate (RC3) and to delay the release with 2 weeks. This would mean that the official KDE 4.10 release will happen on 6 February. Reasoning behind this is to incorporate some late enhancements with regards to Nepomuk and to allow users to have sufficient time to test. 2) The openSUSE KDE community team has already contacted the openSUSE 12.3 Release team with the request if it would still be possible to push the KDE 4.10 release into openSUSE 12.3 despite the pre-release freeze that happens on 5 February. As already was indicated, the tarballs will be available earlier, so this shouldn't be such a big problem. 3) As that the target was already to ship KDE 4.10 together with openSUSE 12.3, the openSUSE KDE community team took the decision to push already the KDE 4.10 Beta towards Factory in order to have more users testing the new release. Also the KDE:Distro:Factory repositories has contained the Beta 1, Beta 2 and RC1.Currently we are working on getting RC2 uploaded and build in KDF before pushing this one to Factory. Based on current experiences and feedback from different sources, the KDE 4.10 seems to be very solid and even Nepomuk seem to have reached a very usable state. So I hope that all users here, would help in testing the current 12.3 Milestone and the future ones in order to ensure that we have covered everything with KDE 4.10.
