Reviewing the latest amarok submission to Factory, I noticed in SR#131411 the following change:
+- Remove ksuseinstall patch entirely
the patch has this description: -# PATCH-FEATURE-OPENSUSE ksuseinstall.diff llunak@novell.com -- Support for on-demand codecs install using ksuseinstall
This is a removal of a feature that I remember was quite important for openSUSE in the past. Is the KDE team really going to remove this and want this in?
Yes, this is expected. The codecs handling no longer happens in Amarok but is done directly in Phonon. See https://projects.kde.org/projects/extragear/multimedia/amarok/repository/rev... for the details. Christophe
