This took me 2 minutes to find sitting on the toilet. I'm taking my laptop into the WC with me to read mail because I don't have any other spare time to use. You could have done the above for me by 1) searching bugs.kde.org [and bugzilla.novell.com] for kmail2 bugs with "sasl" in the comments and 2) reading the comments to the matching bugs. Then a nice mail pointing out that we have this bug in our cyrus-sasl 2.1.25 package in 12.2 which fixed by commit d1b57852247641be30decc480b0719d322f0bc5c and *i* could have patched the package already while doing my ablutions.
