Not sure I know how to find out what my alsa driver is, but here is info I found..
Easystreet:/ # alsactl -v alsactl version 1.0.23 Easystreet
Well, this is version of alsa utilities, not alsa driver. But most probable your alsa driver is also 1.0.23. Just to be sure, you can get driver version by "cat /proc/asound/version" or, better yet, use the script alsa-info.sh. It collects all important information. Check the parameters. You can tell it not to upload results to alsa site. It then keeps the results in the file in /tmp.
