Thanks!
That actually makes sense. I kept trying to find it in Desktop Activity settings. Then in Advanced there is a desktop theme details, but that doesn't let you switch themes.
*nothing* four levels deep makes sense.
Desktop_settings -> themes makes sense.
Is anyone at kde4 looking at actually rethinking the control scheme?
It's open source, there is a usability team. Contribute!

Sven,
this is something so basic, it should have been set a couple of years ago;. you know, the time when people were desperately trying to reach the kde4 gods, the time that they were turning us off literally and figuratively, for they knew best!!!! Now it probably would be too complicated to create a fresh new control structure for kde4, after the fact it will be a thankless patch on patch on patch job.... if i am still alive, i will try to help with kde5. for now, my hat is off to Dotan and co, they are desperately trying to undo a major bungle, sure hope they succeed. all kde4 users should help him. Unfortunately (fortunately for me:)) i gave up on kde4 after my 3rd re-install of 11.1 in 3 days, almost a year ago. so i get to smile when the major discovery of the day is that, alnmost a year later, with a phd in computer science AND lots of practice, one can now change the background on diff. kde4 desktops!!!!
thank God for open source and the choices it allows!
d.
So much babble just to say you gave up on KDE4 and are only here for your rants, I'd rather spend my spare time in a different way... Karsten -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
