Still questions: how do I use kdenetworkmanager? When I open the KDE control center I can add wired connections, but the tab to add a wireless connection is greyed out... So, how can I add a connection there?
I use a WLAN connection and would like to use the kdenetworkmanager to see the WiFi networks in my environment and the strength of my own.
knetworkmanager only lets you add connections if NetworkManager thinks you have a suitable network device. So I guess NM doesn't know you have wlan0. Use nm-tool or cnetworkmanager to check what hardware NM is reporting.
