I'm using KDE4 unstable (4.1.63). Before anyone feels a need for a disclaimer, I realize the risks of running the unstable version. That said, I'm just looking for a clue about how to narrow down the problem in a better way than the one I can think of.
The keys of my keyboard that are mapped become unresponsive some time during the loading of KDE4 and only KDE4. The last time I used that environment without the problem, I installed a couple of rpms from the unstable "extra gear" repository. Since then, I've removed them all and that hasn't made a difference. Those were the only changes I made. (And the ones I installed didn't require any other packages.)
My other users do not experience this problem. This sounds like kde4/share/config/kaccessrc. Ref. My answer to: Re: [opensuse-kde] KDE Community Project reorg ? to: opensuse-kde@opensuse.org 2008-07-28 18:52
