I have to acknowledge Patrick here.
We have a topic-driven list so that we can bundle the knowledge better. We all run KDE on SuSE. So we can help you finding the correct SuSE packages, we can tell you where SuSE has put the KDE config files and so on.
So you cannot assume to find redhat package and config knowledge on this list. If someone has this knowledge, he surely runs fedora and if he runs fedora, then he would not be part of this list.
Sounds logically?
So no reason for you to get ironic here.
I feel there is a reason to get ironic, if one gets an answer like Patricks answer was it:
Hummm. An *old* version of kde and running black-hat and complaining in a SUSE mail list. Something doesn't fit here.
I wouldn't have had any problems with a statement like: "...this is only a SuSE-kde Mailinglist, and therefore I should expect an answer..." Never mind, I have to use Fedora in the office, and I'm not to glad with this, because at home where I'm running SuSE, I don't have such problems. I already have received answers from other SuSE mailing lists, even though the answer was concerned to Fedora... Cheers Alexander
