Hallo!
After updating from 9.0 to Suse 9.2 I have lost the German umlaute in KDE. What can I do about that?
If you mean "I had some files with umlauts in their names and now I can't use them" or something similar, you might have been caught unaware by SuSE changing the default locale from ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8. In that case, take a look in your .profile . You shall probably change your LANG (locale) back to ISO-8859-1. There are comments in the file which will help you. If you've lost your keyboard settings so you no longer can enter umlauts, try specifying a german keyboard in the the KDE control panel under Regional settings, or, check that you don't have "nodeadkeys" as your keyboard layout variant.
Thanx Raimund
