Lee, Thanks for your tip. I downloaded kdenetwork3-chat but kopete still didn't show up. I'm using SuSE8.1 and synaptic to update. I suspect that not all files for kde3.2 have been updated on the apt repository as kdenetwork3-chat is only reported as version 3.1.5 which I suppose does not contain kopete. I hope these are updated soon and also for version 8.0 which I have on my home computer. I'm still missing ksim which I also thought was part of kde. John On Friday 06 Feb 2004 19:33, BandiPat wrote:

I understand that kopete is part of the new kde3.2. I've installed all of kde3.2 but kopete hasn't shown up. Am I missing a component or has something gone wrong?
Also ksim hasn't shown up either. Where do I find that now?
Look forward to hearing from those who know about these things. Thanks. John Satherley

Dr. J,
Kopete has now become part of the kdenetwork3-chat rpm. If you have installed that, it should show up in your menu "Internet" items. If you fail to see it there, open up a shell/konsole and issue the command "kopete" to see if it starts for you.
